After purchasing our new home, we noticed how quickly the fence was starting to deteriorate due to sprinklers and the outside elements. This was exaggerated in our case by the fact that our back fence was older than the sides of our yard as our home was right behind the model homes and their fencing was installed first. So the sides looked one color and the back already looked older. Aside from the vanity issue we also wanted to protect and prolong the life of our fence. So we decided we would stain and weatherproof the fence.
